About This Tool
Over the years, many words have lost their meaning through excessive use in marketing and advertising. Words like "quality" and "professional" don't have the impact they once did, and using too many of these empty words can hurt your credibility. The Hypometer™ (or Hype-o-Meter) helps you identify these words on your website so you can decide if you need to revise your copy.
The Hypometer™ also calculates your website's Hype Ratio. Because it is sometimes necessary to use hype words, a Hype Ratio below 1.5 is generally acceptable.
